FanDuel Predicts gives bettors in its eligible sports states access to sports outcomes and combos through a familiar FanDuel account. Financial events add another reason to use it. The main questions before joining are the final trade cost, whether you can sell when you want and how you will withdraw.
Start with Book vs Market to compare available prices for your exact pick and stake. This review combines published US rules with Predicts-specific customer reports. Those reports include successful withdrawals and exits, alongside unresolved payment, verification and promotional-credit problems.
What should you know before joining FanDuel Predicts?
These six answers cover the operator, the product, the real cost and access to your money.
Is FanDuel Predicts a legitimate operator?
Yes. FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC is a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant and NFA member. It provides accounts for contracts listed through CME and Crypto.com’s CDNA exchange. Customer-money segregation requirements apply; they do not insure your trading results or guarantee a problem-free withdrawal.
Does it offer the bets you want?
Sports outcomes, eligible combos and financial-price events are part of the product. Combo Builder supports up to eight selections. Sports access is restricted to an 18-state footprint; the financial offering is broader. An available FanDuel login does not establish access to every contract.
What does a trade actually cost?
Under the published purchase charge, 100 contracts at 50¢ cost $52. That includes a $2 fee. A normal $100 winning payout leaves $48 profit. Compare the total paid with the return, especially on longshots.
Can you sell before the result?
Yes, when cash-out is available for your position. The displayed offer includes a transaction fee, and its value moves with the market. Availability depends on liquidity. An early exit is a useful option, but it cannot be assumed when planning a trade.
Who decides the result?
The listing exchange’s contract rules govern the outcome and payout. A standard winner pays $1 per contract. Event source, game period and cancellation rules matter. FanDuel carries contracts from more than one exchange, so one settlement rule does not cover the entire app.
Can you withdraw as soon as you win?
Winning or selling a position does not make every dollar immediately withdrawable. Proceeds can enter buying power and pending payouts first. Customer reports include both completed bank withdrawals and unresolved bank-linking problems. Confirm your available withdrawal route before depositing.
Is FanDuel Predicts worth opening an account with?
We say meh. Fanduel Market’s worth a dibble if you’re already using the sportsbook. The Markets integration inmto the sportsbook you already use has some value; the sports selections, combos, and financial events in a straightforward purchase flow are better than a jab in the eye with a sharp stick. But….
Meh: If you’;re not already a Fanduel fan, leave it be. Go with NoVig for pregame singles or Kalshi for broader event trading. Its weaker case is cost-sensitive longshot trading or any plan that depends on a guaranteed early sale or rapid support resolution.
Where do other providers have an advantage?
Fees and loyalty benefits create concrete differences even when the selection looks familiar. These comparisons hold the outcome, contract price and quantity constant; they are examples rather than a snapshot of live competing quotes.
| Feature | Providers | Our assessment |
|---|---|---|
| Pregame sports singles | NoVig charges no trading fee on pregame individual-game singles. At an identical executable price, that costs less than FanDuel Predicts’ charged purchase. A better FanDuel quote can change the comparison. Check NoVig’s prices. | |
| Low-priced contracts | For 100 contracts at 10¢, Kalshi’s standard taker charge is $0.63, versus the documented $2 FanDuel Predicts charge. Kalshi’s market-specific multipliers can change its fee. Compare Kalshi directly for the same outcome. | |
| Sportsbook loyalty credit | Predicts trades do not count toward FanDuel Sportsbook Rewards Club. If earning that credit is part of your decision, compare the qualifying activity in FanDuel Sportsbook where you are eligible. Visit FanDuel Sportsbook. |
What is the app like to use?
The basic flow is to choose Yes or No, enter an amount and review the potential payout. Live scoring and Combo Builder support the sports experience. One September Android reviewer reported a deposit screen that needed a phone restart and difficulty entering the intended amount once fees were included. Those are specific usability complaints, not evidence that every session behaves that way.
The available product depends on your physical location. Your FanDuel account stays the same, but Predicts and Sportsbook keep separate wallets. Account Hub shows both balances with their own withdrawal buttons; funds do not transfer between them. When the app shows Predicts, use the Sportsbook website to view existing open sportsbook wagers.
Who can register, and where are sports available?
US-based adults aged 18 or older can apply, subject to verification and product eligibility. The account is with FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, the FanDuel–CME joint venture. Signup information includes birth date, SSN, residential address, banking details and government-issued ID.
Which states are on the sports list?
Alabama, Alaska, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas and Utah. This is FanDuel’s published sports footprint. Tribal-land and geolocation restrictions apply. See our state guide for the broader comparison.
Does approval guarantee every category?
No. Financial and sports access differ. FanDuel describes financial contracts as available nationwide, with sports and entertainment restricted by location. Identity checks can also recur after registration. The availability guide explains how account approval, physical location and individual-contract access interact.
What are customers actually experiencing?
Payment routes and account checks are the clearest concerns in the Predicts-specific feedback. Dedicated iPhone reviews describe bank-withdrawal failures and a verification hold. The visible developer replies direct those customers back to support; they do not establish a resolved outcome.
There is positive operational evidence too. Legal Sports Report’s Richard Janvrin reports a $28 ACH withdrawal arriving in 19 hours, 8 minutes, and two completed early exits. His is a commercial review with affiliate links, and those are his reported tests. They demonstrate successful experiences without establishing a typical payout time or our own firsthand result.
What does the withdrawal thread tell us?
The withdrawal method can be the problem even after an account is funded. A Texas Reddit customer reported a Chase withdrawal stuck on a loading screen, with repeated support contacts and no resolution in the follow-up. Another commenter later reported success using a physical debit card. That does not establish that the original case was resolved.
What about promotional credits?
A recent Predicts user reported a missing trade-match reward and disputed eligibility with support. The October post does not include the complete offer terms or a resolution. It supports keeping the offer and qualifying ticket together when raising a claim; it does not prove the reward was wrongly withheld.
How much control do you have over the trade?
The documented retail workflow centers on a quoted purchase and an available cash-out offer. For someone accustomed to an exchange order book, the useful question is whether the displayed price and permitted size suit the trade.
Can you display familiar odds?
You can switch between cents, percentage and multiplier. The underlying potential payout stays the same. Percentage expresses the market price as a probability; multiplier expresses the potential return ratio. Predicts does not offer American-odds display. Book vs Market is useful when comparing those prices with sportsbook odds.
What should you check before selling?
The net amount offered for the position and whether the sale completes. A price move in your favor does not itself create an executable exit. If cash-out is unavailable, you still hold the contract and remain exposed to its settlement result.
Markets, settlement and the real cost
Which markets give FanDuel Predicts a purpose?
Its main appeal is sports plus financial outcomes in one product. CME and CDNA/OG supply contracts. That expands the offering beyond one exchange, although the contracts visible in your app still depend on location and current listings.
Sports: can you build a combo?
Yes. Combo Builder allows up to eight eligible predictions. Current product materials also advertise live scoring. Select the actual legs in the builder before comparing the payout: support for eight selections does not mean every player prop, game or combination can be joined.
Economics: which events are documented?
Federal Reserve decisions, GDP and CPI are part of the financial offering. These suit a bettor who already follows economic releases. The precise threshold and release matter: a contract on an announced rate level is a different position from a general opinion that rates will fall.
Prices: what can you take a view on?
Published examples include Bitcoin, major stock indexes, gold, oil and gas. These are contracts on an outcome measured at the specified time. The settlement reference can be a benchmark or futures price; ownership of a contract does not give you the underlying cryptocurrency, index fund or commodity.
Does it go beyond sports and finance?
Entertainment contracts, including award outcomes, are documented. The June expansion with CDNA/OG added entertainment and combination contracts. Check the actual category available at your location; a platform-wide description does not establish today’s selection of award shows or other cultural events.
Which settlement rules can change what you get paid?
The exchange and the specific contract decide the treatment. These CME examples show why the event’s full wording matters. They are examples of CME rules, not a claim that every CME listing appears in FanDuel or that CDNA contracts use identical terms.
Does a soccer winner include extra time?
The cited CME club-soccer contract uses 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalties are excluded. A team progressing after a shootout has not necessarily won that regulation-time contract.
What if a football game is delayed?
The cited CME pro-football contracts use a seven-day contingency window. If unresolved at its expiry, positions can be liquidated at fair market price. That is different from automatically refunding your purchase.
Which Fed rate does a contract measure?
The cited FOMC contract measures the target range’s lower bound. Trading closes at 1:59 p.m. Eastern on announcement day. An upper-bound quote would answer a different question.
Does a weekend result mean instant cleared cash?
For the covered CME swaps, final clearing settlement moves to the next exchange business day when expiration falls on a weekend or exchange holiday. That clearing step is separate from bank withdrawal delivery.
A canceled combo leg needs its own rule check. FanDuel offers contracts from multiple exchanges. The relevant contract terms determine whether a leg is voided, repriced or treated another way; the sportsbook’s familiar parlay rule is not a universal Predicts rule.
How much do the fees change your return?
The published purchase fee is 2¢ per $1 of potential payout. It is based on the amount the position could return, rather than simply applying 2% to the money you spend.
The effect is strongest on cheap selections: 100 contracts at 10¢ cost $10 plus $2, or $12 total. That fee is 20% of the $10 purchase value. It takes a meaningful price advantage to offset it when a competing provider charges less.
How should you calculate an early-exit profit?
Subtract everything paid to open the position from the net cash-out offer. FanDuel says its displayed cash-out value includes the transaction fee. Use that actual figure; multiplying the current contract price by your quantity can overstate what reaches your balance.
Can the buy/sell gap cost more than the fee?
Yes. A hypothetical purchase at 50¢ followed by a sale at 48¢ loses $2 per 100 contracts before charges. The prediction itself need not have changed for the available buying and selling prices to differ.
Put your pick through Book vs Market
Compare available sportsbook and prediction-market prices for the same pick and stake. Then check FanDuel Predicts’ complete order cost and settlement conditions against those alternatives. A familiar app earns your trade when the terms work for you.
Funding, withdrawals and account help
What bonuses can you actually count on?
The published terms for the advertised $100 welcome campaign ended October 20, 2026. That headline is not an established signup entitlement for a new October 29 account. FanDuel also documents a referral program and several account-specific offer formats.
Use the current offer attached to your account when valuing a reward. A recent customer’s missing-credit complaint makes retaining those exact terms especially useful.
What does a qualifying referral pay?
The documented reward is $20 in Predicts Bonus. The referred customer must deposit at least $5 and trade at least $5 within 30 days through the qualifying referral process.
How long does the referral bonus last?
Seven days after receipt. The bonus itself is nonwithdrawable. Check the offer’s redemption instructions before using it; treat it as trading credit when comparing account value.
Four other offer formats FanDuel documents
Deposit match
A qualifying deposit earns a specified bonus. The account’s offer determines the percentage, cap and required action; no single match applies to every customer.
Trade refund
An eligible losing trade returns bonus credit under the offer’s rules. That is different from returning cash to your bank.
Profit boost
An eligible trade receives an increased potential profit. Check the permitted selection and maximum amount before applying the boost.
Trade and get
Complete the specified trade to earn the advertised reward. Amount, timing and eligibility belong to that individual offer.
How do you fund Predicts and withdraw successfully?
Use the Predicts cashier and its available methods for this product. Customer accounts document bank transfers, debit cards and Apple Pay funding, but also method-specific failures. Before adding money, establish which withdrawal destination your account will accept.
Can you fund it with a credit card?
No. FanDuel explicitly excludes credit-card deposits for US Predicts. Use an eligible funding method shown in the Predicts cashier.
Does an Apple Pay deposit guarantee an Apple Pay withdrawal?
No. The published hands-on reviewer reported successful Apple Pay funding but could not withdraw through it. An iPhone customer also reported Apple Pay funding alongside bank/card withdrawal problems. Confirm a separate usable exit route if the wallet does not appear among withdrawal options.
What is required for a debit-card withdrawal?
FanDuel’s withdrawal instructions require a prior deposit with that card and saving it for future use. This applies when the card method is offered in your product. A card sitting in your phone’s wallet is not necessarily a saved withdrawal destination.
Must you deposit through a bank before withdrawing to it?
Online banking is an exception to FanDuel’s prior-deposit requirement. It still needs to be available and successfully linked. The Texas customer’s unresolved loading-screen report shows why completing the withdrawal flow matters beyond merely adding bank details.
Two stages between a result and money in your bank
When do pending payouts become withdrawable?
FanDuel’s published payout guidance describes a typical 1–2-business-day clearance. Funds can be available for another trade sooner. This is clearance inside the account, not a promise that your bank will receive the money within that same window.
What does the withdrawal tracker mean?
Received → Approved → Completed tracks FanDuel’s processing. Completed means the transfer has been sent; the bank may still need to post it. For a delay, identify the stage and transfer reference so support can distinguish an account review from bank delivery.
How do you get a useful answer when something goes wrong?
Start with FanDuel Help or [email protected]. Identify Predicts explicitly and include the order or transfer reference. Customer reports show that a support invitation alone does not mean a case has been resolved; ask for the reason for the hold, rejection or settlement in writing.
Where can you escalate a formal account complaint?
FanDuel Prediction Markets publishes an FCM customer complaint form and the address [email protected]. This is a formal escalation route. Include the issue, relevant dates, supporting records and the response already received from ordinary support.
What records help with a disputed trade?
The contract identifier, exchange, settlement rule and order confirmation. A complaint about the result needs the defined result source. A bonus dispute needs the offer, opt-in evidence and qualifying trade. Those details let the account team address the particular issue instead of explaining the product generally.
Can you limit deposits?
Predicts documents deposit limits and deposit alerts. Check how the chosen setting applies across your FanDuel products before confirming it. An alert tells you that a threshold has been reached; a limit is the relevant control when you want deposits capped.
Does self-exclusion affect your other FanDuel activity?
It can apply across eligible FanDuel products and blocks login. If you have open contracts or money to withdraw, ask support how those will be handled as part of the exclusion process. Continued self-service cash-out should not be assumed.
Which other account belongs on your shortlist?
NoVig is the fee comparison for pregame sports; Kalshi is relevant for direct exchange trading. Use Book vs Market to compare the available quotes for your selection, then check each final ticket.
NoVig
Start here for pregame individual-game singles without a trading charge. A cheaper fee is useful when there is enough quantity at a competitive price. Live selections, futures and parlays have different treatment, so the pregame advantage does not settle every comparison.
Kalshi
Consider it for direct exchange order controls and price-sensitive event trading. Kalshi documents limit orders, and its standard fee curve can be favorable on inexpensive contracts. Market-specific charges still matter. Our review explains the account, settlement and withdrawal differences before you choose.
Should you open a FanDuel Predicts account?
FanDuel Predicts has a clear place for bettors who want its sports experience where its sportsbook is unavailable. Eligible combos and financial events add substance to that appeal. The decision becomes less attractive when a lower-cost provider offers the same selection, or when your plan depends on a particular withdrawal method working immediately. Customer reports support checking those details before committing a meaningful balance.
Find your pick in Book vs Market, enter your stake and compare available prices. Then review FanDuel Predicts’ final purchase total and the contract’s settlement rule. For a planned early exit, judge the actual cash-out offer when it is available.

FanDuel Predicts FAQs
Six final answers to common US account and trading questions.
Can you use it for sports in California, Texas and Florida?
Yes. All three appear in FanDuel’s published Predicts sports footprint. You still need identity approval and an eligible physical location. Tribal-land and contract-specific restrictions apply.
Can you move your Sportsbook balance into Predicts?
No. The wallets are separate and do not transfer funds between them. The same FanDuel login can show both balances, but Predicts needs its own funding.
Can you combine several predictions?
Yes. The current Combo Builder advertises up to eight eligible selections. The builder determines which selections can be combined; the maximum does not guarantee every proposed combination is available.
Can you always cash out before the result?
No. Cash-out depends on available liquidity and the position’s eligibility. An unavailable offer leaves you holding the contract. A previously displayed value is not a guarantee that the same price remains available.
Why can you trade winnings that you cannot withdraw?
Buying power can include proceeds still awaiting payout clearance. The withdrawable balance and the bank-transfer process are separate. Check the balance available to withdraw and the status of any submitted request.
Does the $100 welcome headline guarantee a bonus today?
No. The published campaign terms reviewed ended October 20, 2026. A current account offer needs its own valid dates and eligibility conditions. The expired campaign should not be counted as a guaranteed reward for joining now.
