The FanDuel refer a friend code can give you a reward for sending your friend Fanduel’s way. Before either of you counts a referral reward, settle three questions: which signup link they will use, what their qualifying wager must do, and what the bonus actually pays. Getting those details wrong can turn an easy promotion into a support conversation (or a relationship intervention).
Start With Your Unique Fanduel Refer a Friend Code
Go to Fanduel (⇠ link to our review) Open Rewards Hub → Refer a Friend in FanDuel Sportsbook. Share your unique link before your friend registers. They must use it, verify their account, and complete the displayed requirements. Rewards vary by location, so do not promise “$50 each” without checking.
FanDuel has run both offers rewarding both participants and versions paying the referrer $50 while allowing the newcomer to claim a separate welcome promotion. Those are different arrangements. Read both sides of your current offer before anybody deposits; a referral does not automatically establish which welcome bonus your friend receives.
The Bet Must Qualify
Pay attention to whether the deadline covers placing the wager or settling it. FanDuel has advertised refer a friend offers requiring a $10 bet to settle within 30 days of signup. Under that condition, a $10 championship future resolving three months later would miss the deadline, even if placed immediately. A Sunday football wager settled that evening avoids that particular problem.
Use deposited cash or winnings. FanDuel excludes wagers funded partly or entirely with Bonus Bets from promotion qualification. A $10 ticket combining $5 cash with a $5 Bonus Bet is not a qualifying $10 cash wager.
Also check the offer’s treatment of cash-outs and voids before treating either outcome as completed qualifying action. Record the required stake, any minimum odds, and settlement deadline before placing the ticket.
Your Mom Is Not Your Fanduel Friend
Your referral must be a new, age-eligible customer. Spouses, family members, and household members are excluded. Your brother living elsewhere is still family; an unrelated roommate still shares your household.
An eligible friend can live in another state but must register from a sportsbook-eligible location. FanDuel’s help page lists 10 referrals every 30 days and identifies Massachusetts restrictions on new referral promotions.
A $50 Bonus Bet Is Not $50 Cash
Suppose your reward is a $50 Bonus Bet. At hypothetical +150 odds, a winner produces $75 in winnings, not $125: FanDuel does not return the bonus stake. At -200, the same voucher produces $25.
You do not have to spend the entire voucher on one selection. FanDuel refer a friend rules allow partial use, so $50 can fund five $10 wagers instead of one oversized bet.
Check the expiration shown in Rewards Hub. The Bonus Bet must be placed before expiration, but the eligible event can happen afterward. That is separate from any settlement deadline attached to the earlier qualifying wager. When the Fanduel Refer a Friend Bonus Goes Missing
Check the referral tracker before making another wager. It shows signup and wagering progress, remaining time, and expired or ineligible referrals.
The FanDuel Refer a Friend small print says Bonus Bet rewards arrive within 72 hours after requirements are completed. That is not 72 hours after sending your link.If your offer’s crediting window has passed, contact support with the signup date, qualifying wager ID, settlement time, and a screenshot of the terms. Those details give support more to investigate than “my friend bet already.”
Do not keep betting to shake a bonus loose. First establish whether the missing step is registration, verification, qualification, or payment. Another losing ticket does not fix an incorrectly tracked referral. Then get in touch with FanDuel support and explain the situation. They’ll be able to affix the code to your friend after the fact.
